Pope is a stocky fellow with big cheeks and a shortened tail. He's easy-going and not only likes to sit on laps but loves it. He's fond of being stroked, especially on his chin, cheeks and neck. Pope is sociable with humans and other cats alike. He also loves to play. He is mellow and quiet and a low-maintenance type of cat that's sweet and gentle. He just wants to have lap time and get rubs and love. He's very undemanding and never a fuss. We're estimating his age at about 4 years. Pope is FIV+. This is certainly not his fault but something he's stuck with. It requires him to be an indoor cat and an only cat or with another FIV+ cat. He's just a super cat; quiet, gentle and loving and really needs a forever home. Don't overlook Pope. He will make a wonderful house cat. Even in a room with other FIV+ cats, he has never fought or been aggressive. He is still vibrant and healthy, friendly with all folks, always gentle, perpetually quiet and gets along well with other cats. Pope is a super boy. Come and meet him for yourself and put him to the test and you'll find out, too. FIV is NOT a fatal condition in cats, and with good nutrition and proper vet care an animal can live many years with the virus. The main concerns are to keep an infected cat from fighting with uninfected cats to transmit the virus, prevent exposure to other cats who may be carrying diseases, and to keep the animal as healthy as possible.
